Moving Bravely into the Uncharted

It has been about ten days since my last day at work and my announcement on January 10th that I am officially a free agent. People have been checking in to see how the transition is going, and honestly, it has been incredibly positive and productive.

In the last two weeks, I have had one interview that went great: it just was not the right long-term fit for either of us, which is exactly the kind of mutual clarity I am looking for. Just last week, from the 12th to the 16th, I had another interview, applied for several roles, and sat through 9 different meetings. I also went to a networking event where I made some fantastic new contacts and found a lot of cool things to explore.

One of the highlights was a vision boarding event. It gave me the space to forecast and write down my goals for 2026 and how I want to accomplish them. The timing could not have been better. I have spent a lot of time reconnecting with old contacts I have not seen in a while and setting up promising collaborations for the coming weeks.

What I have realized throughout this process is that I am the type of person who lights up when there is uncharted territory. I get really determined and energized by exploring possibility and putting in structure. I have even had spontaneous connections at the bank or out in the community that have led to great thought places and new ideas. I am constantly seeking possibility in every conversation, whether it was planned or not.

I am fully embracing this unmapped space, and I am finding myself in a position to lead and help others strategize. That is why I am reactivating my consulting business to provide change management mapping solutions.

This work is part consulting and strategy, but it is also about project-based execution. I help teams proactively map out changes or effectively respond to adaptations and adjustments. I have always been a fan of implementing structure and creating forward momentum when there is absolutely no map to follow.

I am open to exploring how I can help your team do really cool things and navigate the unknown. If you are looking for a partner to help you move bravely into your next chapter, let's talk.
